Join mixed media artist Alexandria P. Clay on Thursday, August 25 at 6:30 pm as she discusses the process and themes of her work in Lost in Transition, an exhibition that celebrates the history of Black educators in Wilmington, N.C.

There is limited seating so please register here.

Clay will be in conversation with curator Michael S. Williams about the concept of memory and Clay’s fluid, expressive wet charcoal technique that allows her to convey how fleeting our most precious memories can sometimes feel. She will also share how the oral histories in the exhibition influenced her approach.

The exhibition is on view until September 25 at 210 Princess Street in downtown Wilmington.

Street parking is available and there are multiple parking decks on 2nd Street. We hope you will join us for this event.
